Personal development expert Earl Nightingale notes in his article The Great Problem-Solving Tool that “Each of us has a tendency to underestimate his or her own abilities. We should realize that we have deep within ourselves deep reservoirs of great ability, even genius that can be tapped if we’ll just dig deep enough. It’s the miracle of your mind.”

But it can be difficult for many people to uncover and encourage their multiple talents and creative abilities.

Career and creativity writer Gail McMeekin comments in her article Creative Catalysts, “We are all originals and have the software to be creative. Yet, sometimes we feel blocked or uninspired and can’t get our creativity to click.” She suggests a number of strategies to try, including:

Keep a daily excitement list about WHY you are passionate and committed to your exploration or project.

Change your location – work on your project in bed, outside in nature, in a coffee shop, or a different room; Take a trip relating to your project to explore a facet of it.

Go to a toy store and find a toy like your project and play with it.

Set up a series of experiments related to your project….
